Thousands of “No Kings” protests are being held across the country on Saturday for a “nationwide day of action,” coinciding with the start of the early voting period in many states.
The demonstrations are organized under the banner of the No Kings Coalition. Previous nationwide protest days led by the coalition have been aimed at denouncing President Trump and his administration’s policies, the group says.

The Oct. 17 day of action continues a pattern of coordinated, country‑wide events by the No Kings Coalition timed to draw attention during a key phase of the election calendar.
