We believe

Our commitment to the reader

Colombia Politics believes in independence. We are not aligned to any political party.

We will cover Colombia´s politics from all angles, left, right, centre.

We believe that politics are about opinions.

We believe there is no such thing as objective journalism.

We believe in democracy and we will criticise and attack despots, dictators, and terrorists.

We are suspicious of populism, on the left and on the right.

Join the debate

We hope you will sometimes agree and sometimes disagree with what we write.

Politics would be dull if we all shared the same view – in fact it wouldn´t exist.

Balance is important and if you feel we have gone too far or that we´re not covering the stories you want to read about, let us know.

Why Colombia Politics?

Everyone has an image of Colombia.

In 99% of cases this idea will be wrong.

By telling the story of Colombia through her politics, this website aims to chart the country’s development into an important player on the world stage.

Colombia Politics will arm you with the knowledge to take advantage of the opportunities Colombia offers for tourism and for investment.

Opportunities much of the Western world are still asleep to.

Thanks Malcolm. Glad you enjoy it. Yes, No Lost Causes is on the list to review. Oblivion is a great suggestion. Thanks!

Great blog. If you get a chance, I hope you write a review of Uribe’s No Lost Causes and Hector Abad’s Oblivion.
